Rihanna has officially confirmed the arrival of her first daughter, just days after A$AP Rocky hinted the couple might have secretly tied the knot.
The superstar, who recently revealed she was expecting her third child, announced the happy news on Instagram. Posting a sweet snapshot, she shared her daughter’s name: “Rocki Irish Mayers — Sept 13, 2025.” The name is seen as a heartfelt tribute to her partner, taking inspiration from his stage name and real name, Rakim Mayers.
True to Rihanna’s bold style, she was pictured wrapped in pink blankets, cradling her newborn daughter. Another image nodded to the boxing-inspired name “Rocky,” while continuing the couple’s growing tradition of “R” names.
The pair are already parents to two sons — RZA, born in 2022, and Riot Rose, born in 2023. In a recent interview, A$AP admitted he was “hoping for a girl” this time around, and now his wish has come true.

They also shared a subtle nod to the name’s boxing roots.
In an interview with Elle magazine, A$AP Rocky opened up about the couple’s pregnancy journey. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know,” he explained.
Sharing his instincts, the rapper admitted he felt this pregnancy was different from the last two: “I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
Despite their global fame, Rihanna and A$AP have managed to keep much of their family life private, occasionally sharing glimpses with fans but never fully lifting the curtain. One lingering question is whether the couple has officially tied the knot after more than five years together.
Adding to the intrigue, A$AP teased during a recent interview that marriage may already have happened. When asked, he joked: “How you know I’m not already a husband?” before laughing and refusing to confirm, adding: “I’m still not gonna confirm it.”

That doesn’t mean there hasn’t been music at all — the Diamonds hitmaker recently recorded a track for the upcoming Smurfs movie soundtrack, while also expanding into acting and producing.
The couple’s relationship has been years in the making. Though first confirmed as an item in 2020, the two had been close for nearly a decade, with A$AP collaborating with Rihanna on a 2012 project. They were later seen together at Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week show in 2018, fueling speculation until they finally made things official two years later.

Rihanna revealed her pregnancy once again at the 2025 Met Gala, debuting her baby bump as she made her way into the star-studded event.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about expecting her third child, she said: “I’m good, shockingly feeling OK.”
