William Sanford Nye, better known as Bill Nye, has earned himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which was revealed on Monday.
This honor came after decades of work in the science industry.
Nye began his career as a mechanical engineer for Boeing. He also delved into the comedy world before launching his TV show, Bill Nye the Science Guy, on PBS. His infamous show ran from 1993 to the late 90s.
The “King of Science” celebrated his remarkable achievement.

“Recognition by one’s peers always means a great deal, but being here in Hollywood means a great deal to people far beyond our peers in television and movies. We export our culture around the world,” he said.
“For me, being a permanent part of all this, of Hollywood, is quite an honor. As has been said many times, when you’re in love, you want to tell the world. And I love science. I love comedy. I love television.”
Nye’s star joins 2,820 other stars permanently etched on the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard.
